It’s difficult not to sound a little cheesy when you say “This is not an ordinary story,” but in this case, it really is.

It all started with a passion for playing guitar and rock music, which Hugo Hoeksma has always cherished for as long as he can remember. He longed to form his own band one day and create the kind of music he felt in his heart. A long search for the right people in his own country, the Netherlands, hadn’t led anywhere. Definitely not because of a lack of Dutch talent; he just couldn’t find that inexplicable “something” that he had in mind. The only option left was to go abroad. In Los Angeles, he got in touch with the top he had been searching for and with whom he would eventually form the band.

Chris Hodges (lead singer, songwriter):

Originally from Dallas, Texas, now living in Los Angeles. Chris has been a professional singer and songwriter for over 10 years. He regularly records and performs with artists across the world and has made a name for himself for bringing a uniquely passionate voice to a wide variety of styles including rock, pop, blues and country.

“Chris has the ability to use his voice to grab your ears and twist them, by the pure ability to change his style at the drop of a hat and sound flawless as well.”
New Noise Magazine

“Hodges’s vocals again blew me away. The tone, control and range of his voice are on par or better than many of the top male rock vocalists out there.”
The Examiner

Greg Pajer (guitarist):
One of LA’s most in-demand guitarists. A California native, Greg has toured with countless acts, performing on TV spots such as The Tonight Show as well as at esteemed festivals and venues across the globe.

Andrew James (bass player):
Andrew has recorded and toured with many of today’s top producers and artists, including Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Karmin, as well as so many indie artists that he’s had to stop counting.  He has performed on The Tonight Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Live with Kelly, The View, The Rachael Ray Show, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, Coachella, SXSW and many more.

Zak ST. John (drummer):
One of the busiest drummers in LA. His clients include Stevie Wonder, The B-52’s, NFL on Fox, Sony Music and Warner Brothers.

Hugo Hoeksma (guitarist, songwriter, producer):
From Amsterdam. Founder of the band and owner of record label About Neo (also known for Elske DeWall).

The new release, “Walk Away,” features on from their upcoming album, New Horizons, due out later this year. The group worked with the world-renowned Ronald Prent, producer/mixing engineer to legends, including David Bowie, Def Leppard, Rammstein, Simple Minds, Queensryche, Van Halen and The Police. Prent, along with guest musicians Steve Stout (of Lifehouse) and Neil Taylor (Tears for Fears, Tina Turner), had a significant impact on Neptune Blue’s sound.

With almost 140.000 followers on Facebook,  over half a millions streams on Spotify and high expectations from insiders for their debut album New Horizons which will be released this fall, Neptune Blue is at the brink of taking some serious steps in the music industry.
